Simple Test Dungeon All For You!

Simple Test Dungeon All For You!

Working on different map styles for the fun of it. This one uses assets by MapEffects.co founderJosh Stolarz. This is a rough test of the items. Just wanted to see what I could create quick. Polished stuff to come later!

Ever since I reignited my passion for map making earlier this week, I've been on an artistic adventure. My last map was a good old-fashioned hand-drawn piece that I scanned to digitize. However, for today's creation, I decided to test out some exciting new tools from MapEffects.co by the talented Josh Stolarz.

While I absolutely love the organic feel and visual charm of hand-drawn maps, I wanted to explore a different aesthetic this time around. The tools from MapEffects allowed me to craft a simple yet intriguing map with a distinct style. In the past, I've used Forgotten Adventure assets for more realistic mapping, but I felt drawn to something a bit more stylized for this piece.

That's not to say I won't return to detailed, real-world inspired maps in the future. As an artist, I relish the opportunity to experiment with varied techniques and visuals. This map was all about stepping out of my comfort zone and seeing where creativity would take me.

I'm really pleased with how this stylized map turned out, and I can't wait to continue playing with new tools and aesthetics. Who knows what mapmaking adventures await?
